PB and Oatmeal Cookies

Makes about 48 cookies

Ingredients
3/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup choppd cocktail peanuts or semisweet chocolate pieces (optional)

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees(F)

2. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and PB with electric mixer on medium to high speed for about 30 seconds or until combined.  Add sugar, brown sugar, baking powder and baking soda.  Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occassionally.  Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined.  Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer.  Stir in any remaining flour.  Stir in rolled oats and peanuts.

3. Drop dough by rounded teaspoon 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake about 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.  Transfer to wire rack and let cool.
